Tim Tebow - Accomplishments, Combine, and NFL

Tim Tebow has changed college football.  This page is a tribute to Tim and all of his accomplishments.

Tim Tebow will definitely go down as one of the greatest college football players of all time because of his numerous accomplishments on the football field. Tebow is such a popular figure because he was not only a great football player, but also a fantastic leader who captured the imagination of an entire school, state, and country.

Whether Tebow ends up being a great NFL quarterback or not really does not matter at this point, as he has made a name for himself as a quality person who can be a role model for countless children all over the country.

As far as Tebow's actual career goes, he started out as the backup quarterback of the Florida Gators in 2006, although he was used in short yardage situations. Tebow started to get noticed during his freshman year, as it seemed as though he was making big plays every time he was on the field. Florida went on the win the National Championship that year and Tebow has a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in that game.

The next year, Tebow took over as the starter and he had one of the best seasons in college football history. He ended up winning the Heisman Trophy as the top player in college football, although the team did not win a bowl game that year.

In 2008, Tebow had another big season and led the team to yet another National Championship. That season was highlighted by a speech that Tebow have after a loss, promising everyone that they would not lose another game, which they did not.

In 2009, Tebow has a disappointing season, even though they went on to win the Sugar Bowl. Nearly everyone had picked the team to win yet another National Title, but they were unable to do so after a loss to Alabama.

Tim Tebow remains a highly respected member of the football community and is extremely involved in the Christian faith.

Leading up to the Super Bowl, there was a great deal of controversy surrounding a commercial starring Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow is one of the more popular college players of all times because of his drive and commitment to the game, but he is also a very good role model because of his personal values. The commercial that he starred in did not need to cause such an uproar, as Tebow was simply appearing in the ad because of his personal anti-abortion beliefs. The only reason why this commercial was such a big deal was that very few sports figures take a stance on issues like this, so the media felt the need to turn this into a sensationalized story.

The stance the Tebow took in this commercial was that abortion is wrong because it ends a human life. He basically made the point that his mom chose not to have an abortion, which led to one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time being born. Those who feel as though abortion is wrong would definitely be behind this sentiment, as you never know what type of person an aborted baby would grow up to be. There could have been countless people who would have grown up to do great things aborted in the past, which is what makes abortion so wrong.

Whether you agree with Tebow's opinion or not, you have to agree that it took courage to step into this role and stand for what he believes in. We are led to believe that our sports heroes are nothing but athletes, but this proves that Tebow has a head on his shoulders and he is not afraid to stand up for his own beliefs. Tebow should be applauded for standing up and agreeing to be in this commercial because if it can save one life, it was definitely worth it.

Tim Tebow just recently made his appearance at the NFL combine and despite the fact that some people want to continue bashing his success, he showed some really positive signs of his potential and capability at the next level. He did many things excellently, and continued to prove why he's an excellent asset. The team that decides to take a chance on Tebow will end up rewarded with a great player and of course a great person.

 That's one of the strengths of Tebow right there, the fact that he's such a quality human being. He's a strong leader, and he rallies the people around him to achieve past their expectations. You don't win two college national championships and a Heisman trophy without being able to motivate and inspire the people around for you. People want to play with Tebow and they end up performing better than ever before.

 Tebow of course also has an amazingly strong will. Once again, you don't accomplish all of those things without being dedicated to succeed, without working as hard as you can and always striving for greatness. Simply put, Tebow is a man that's not to be denied and that's what made him a great college football player, will make him a high quality NFL player and will make him succeed in all aspects of life, no matter what other endeavors he takes on or dives into.

 That drive and will is also important because of the work Tebow is doing on improving his performance as a quarterback. He is working extremely hard to perfect and fix his new throwing motion, so that he will be a superior NFL player. He is already more accurate, has a quicker motion and is more in the NFL style of playing. As time goes on he will continue to make more improvements, and with his willpower you know that he will never stop until he reaches his goal and becomes the kind of player that people want him to be.

 Tebow also did a lot of physical tests in the combine. What all of the scouts found out was that Tebow was probably even more athletic and capable than people already give him credit for. He can jump four feet in the air, he can run fast and he's a very powerful man. All of these things show how capable and versatile he will be able to be in the NFL. Just imagine him in the Wildcat and all of the amazing plays he would be able to make!

 The bottom line is that Tim Tebow was excellent at the combine and you can expect big things from him over the next few months. You know he'll improve even more before the draft, and one team is going to be very lucky to be able to draft him. With his personality and leadership, along with his athletic capabilities, his improved throwing motion and his drive to succeed no matter what, he's a winner in every way and he will make a big impact in the league.

You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season."

This speech was the turning point for the Gators and touched the entire Gator Nation and really set the Florida Gators on fire for the rest of the season. It's safe to say the Gators were completely untouchable after this Legendary speech by Tim Tebow.
